Redwork Exchange sent to Carolyn…received

August 8, 2008 · 2 Comments

I read on the SBEBB that Carolyn has received the redwork exchange I sent her.  I stitched a french freebie design and finished it into a pinkeep…and included a linen tester, red fabric, white ribbon, and 3 skeins of DMC 4210.  Carolyn, I’m glad to hear you liked the pinkeep and goodies…below are pics of the exchange I sent;

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Summer Fob Exchange I stitched for Phyllis…

July 9, 2008 · 3 Comments

I decided to close and delete the exchange board I created…unfortunately, I acted quickly, and I didn’t wait to post what I stitched for Phyllis…I was late in sending mine to her (not a good thing when you are the moderator)…I stitched the freebie Sandcastles Scissors Fob from Cross Stitch Happy…I think it came out cute (although the date on the back is hard to see…).  I also included ocean/sea themed charms, really cute flip flop iron on patch, white ribbon, quarter yard of fabric and a Yankee Candle votive Ocean Walk.  Below are pictures of the exchange;

I have decided that I am going to concentrate on the LHN RR that I am currently in…I have one exchange left, and that is the Redwork exchange for the SBEBB due August 4th…and then all my other stitching is going to be for ME…

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the comments you leave!

Joanne

FOOTNOTE:  Adding this footnote (July 10th) to let everyone know that I received an e-mail from Phyllis today, she received my package (exchange) and was really happy/loved everything she received.  Phyllis, thank you for letting me know you received package ok…I’m glad you were happy with what I sent you.

To You From Me With X’s Exchange ~ Sent today!

July 7, 2008 · 2 Comments

As mentioned in my previous post for the LHN RR, I have not been able to get my stitching attended to lately…I did get my summer fob exchange for To You From Me With X’s exchange in the mail late this afternoon and the recipient should have it within 2 to 3 days…I hope she likes it.  I will post pics of what I stitched and sent when I know she has received the package…I’m not sure if she reads my blog…so I’ll wait just in case she does.

I’ve also decided in the past couple of weeks that it would be best to close and delete the exchange I created (To You From Me With X’s)…I’m very happy that the first (and only) exchange was a success and that everyone has received their fobs and have liked them.  However, I really just want to concentrate on my commitment to the LHN RR and stitching for myself…(I do have one exchange left to complete, and that is the Redwork exchange on the SBEBB, due out Aug. 4th, after that, my stitching time will be for the RR and myself).

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Summer exchange, and also thank everyone who took an interest in the Fall exchange as well, however, as I have said, after two more people have received their exchanges, which I know will be late (mine and one other stitcher ran into delays)…I will be closing the exchange and deleteling the blog.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the wonderful comments you leave.

LHN RR…update

July 7, 2008 · 1 Comment

I received Joan’s RR from Melissa last week, pic below;

Also, I have mailed Cathy’s RR to Debbie as of today, via priority mail, to get it to Debbie a bit faster, and Debbi, I am sorry for taking away from your stitch time on Cathy’s RR…and Cathy, I am sorry, I never got my block on your RR complete, as I was stitching, I noticed I was off by one stitch and frogged it all out, leaving a blank square prior to mailing it to Debbi…I would like it to come back to me at the end of the RR so that I can stitch my square on your RR to complete it…below is a pic of what I had done before “frogging” it out;

Since June 8th…life has been a bit stressful, it has just recently started to level off, so I can truly say that my stitching is going to get its much needed attention from here on…and I am taking a much needed vacation July 31st through August 10th…for just me and my stitching!!!

SAL progress…exchange finished…and, yeah, more stash!

May 31, 2008 · 4 Comments

I really don’t have that much progress on my Quaker Christmas SAL…I was hoping to have page one done for the June update…but missed it by a few motifs, below is a pic of my progress;

I also finished an exchange today, but not in time to get it mailed today, but I will have it mailed on Monday…I have done a few pinkeep finishes before, but this is the first time I finished a round pinkeep…I really like the round finish…I don’t think the recipient has a blog, or reads my blog, so pics below are of the front and then back of pinkeep (I apologize for the dark/poor lighting, today was a wee bit of a rainy day here…);

And, yeah…I added to my stash a bit more; I was in AC Moore’s tonight to pick up some DMC to kit up some future projects and they had Stitchopoly (and I had a 50% off coupon)…so I picked it up, probably will never play it…but I can now say I have it!  Then I popped into Staples next door to pick up some project envelopes…pic below of what I picked up;

Well, that’s pretty much it for now…I have an exchange due out the end of June and the LHN RR also due out the end of June, so those are what I will be stitching on in the next few weeks….

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the wonderful comments you leave…

While at Celebration of Needlework, I couldn’t find some charts I had been wanting to add to my stash…so I ordered them from Wyndham Needleworks, and they arrived today.  I ordered LHN Always and Forever, Fancy Work Whitman’s Vintage Red Tin Sewing Set and Whitman’s Tin Sewing Set, Cherished Stitches A Virtuous Huswif, Keepsake Stitches Golden Magnolia Putford Scissors Case & Scissors Fob (for my new Putford scissors I picked up at Celebration)  and topped it off with Jeannette Douglas Designs My Stitching Treasures Accessories.  Charts pictured below;
